The meeting was called to order by President
Superintendent Robert Young led all present in the salute to the flag.

Mr. Scherer that the Board go into executive session at 6:31 p.m. to discuss
the medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person, or
matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion,
discipline, suspension, dismissal, or removal of a particular person.
President
Wilber declared the Board out of executive session at 7:40 p.m.
President Wilber asked if anyone from
the audience wished to address the Board at this time. No one came forward and the public
participation was closed at 7:41 p.m.
The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
was presented by Philip Johnson, GHS Teacher; Lindsay Lazenby and Emily Mc
Carter, GMS Teachers. This internationally recognized anti-bullying program is
being piloted at the middle school to reduce and prevent bullying and improve
peer relations. Components of this
program include creating a safe and orderly environment; collaborative effort
to set a standard with rules, consequences and training.

of $97,000, due to David Pullen taking a position elsewhere.

Kevin Fariben, to a three-year probationary appointment
in the Elementary Assistant Principal tenure area, assigned to North Street
School, 11 months, effective August 20, 2007 through August 29, 2010, at an
annual salary of $64,500, due to Karen Simon taking the position of Assistant
Principal at Geneva High School.
